Fresh Tracks This Week
Zanetic – Two To The Floor
Justin Zanetic, a young producer from Perth has delivered one monster of a Tune here! You could say he is the Skrillex of Australia, though Skrillex sounds as though he just wants to shatter ear drums sometimes. Zanetic has a more delicate feel, full of ingenious detail that creates tracks that are intense without being overly excessive. Two To The Floor features colossal bass drops, harsh tones and some irregular beats. All in all one killer tune – describe it as you wish…
Emma Louise – Jungle (Muscles Bootleg Club Remix)
We have all heard sweet Emma Louise’s song Jungle. Now we have the remix provided by Melbourne producer Muscles. It’s different, what do you think?
The Delta Riggs – Time
This rock outfit from Melbourne released Talupo Mountain Music Vol. 1 on June 3rd and you can grab it from www.thedeltariggs.com or listen to some more tracks at soundcloud. With a great upbeat chorus and a southern rock sound they will have you rocking, bopping and singing along in no time. A great driving tune with some witty piano, who do they remind you of?
Owls Of The Swamp – So Far Away & Tricks and Turns
Beautiful guitar and sweet Lyrics combined with a soothing voice. Changing tempo not city, this lad also from Melbourne (Pete Uhlenbruch) has released his new album ‘Go with River’ on June 18th. It delivers a collection of captivating and spell-finding folk songs featuring graceful acoustic finger picking melted with resonant vocals and sparse yet evocative instrumentation. Featuring guest appearances from an international cast of musicians, this is an honest and personal album about reconnecting with nature and the great beyond. Listen to more tracks from ‘Go with River” at soundcloud or check out http://www.owlsoftheswamp.com/ for more info.
San Cisco – Girls Do Cry
Another quality song from San Cisco thus proving Golden Revolver to be an EP with more than a title track. Girls Do Cry is a cute little pop song with a simple & clever hook. This video was directed by Anna Li & Hannah Metz, one of the creators and designers for The Loved One, a sassy New York Lingerie company (www.thelovedone.net)

Song of The Day – Millions “Those Girls” (Splendor 2011)
Indie/Pop/Rock
What do we think of the Triple J unearthed act that will be playing at Splendor in The Grass this year???
The 4 piece from Brisbane have only been together for about 6 months and here they are playing at arguably Australia’s biggest festival! Quite a distance to come in half a year. The first we heard from them was “Citrus”. Up beat garage rock at its finest. Now we have “Those Girls” to listen to, the first single from Millions’ forthcoming EP. It has more of a glossy production, but it isn’t perfected, still a little grungy its just a little bit neater. There is one super bass line that is the spine of the song and gives it that little bit of funk amongst the crooning blues and jazz like jam. It wont be to everyone’s taste but it is a little boppy number that will win over and have the crowd dancing at Splendor for sure. The backing vocals provide a nice little extra pick up and the debut album from millions should be something to look forward too.
Let us all know what you think of the the boys from Brisbane that will be gracing Splendor’s stage this year. You can here the rest of their stuff here
