Song Of The Day – TiGERTOWN “What Makes It Harder”
Pop/Indie
TiGERTOWN, the fantastic little indie band that brought you the great song “Go Now” now bring to you “What Makes It Harder” another gem of a song. Information is hard to come by on these guys as there official site links straight to their Facebook, but I can tell you they are a family band from Sydney and that they are playing a free show tonight! Get to 34 Degrees South by 10.45pm 1/34 Campbell Parade Bondi Beach for some quality tunes to take you into the second half of this week.
“What Makes It Harder” is an excellent follow up track for the band and shows that they can consistently bring out that spark to make a good song magical. The chorus does get stuck in your head quite easy and this could be because the song is quite repetitive towards the end. With that being my only sour point, the male singing underneath the female in parts produces a very nice sound, rather than a clash and is used much more subtly compared to “Go Now”. This song has a happy topping attributed to the bells, cheerful voices and upbeat feel, yet is also saddened and dispirited underneath at the same time when you listen to the lyrics.
An enjoyable song from one talented family, let us know what you think of the follow up to “Go Now”? better/no so good? leave us a comment…
